My client is a progressive and pioneering hospital in which care for the patient is central to everything they do.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* The primary role of the Endoscopy Staff Nurse will be to participate in the provision pre, peri and post procedure nursing services and management of Patient Care in the Endoscopy Unit.
* Responsible for the management, care and treatment of elective patients, to ensure that the optimum standard of care is provided within the Endoscopy Unit.
* Develop and document a care plan based on patient needs and best practice.
* Provide safe, comprehensive nursing.
* Provide care with minimal supervision in a timely accurate and safe manner.
* Participate in quality assurance, Infection Prevention and Control.
* Promoting the safety, health, welfare and social wellbeing of patients and respect the dignity and confidentiality of patients and their families.
* Ensuring that recordsare protected and managed as per hospital policy and in accordance with relevant legislation.
* Working closely with colleagues across the hospital in order to provide a seamless service delivery to the patients.
* Communicate appropriately with colleagues and other members of the health care team.
* Function within the limits of NMBI and hospital policies, procedures and standards.
* Demonstrate flexibility by assisting in other areas of the hospital as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
* Must be Registered in the general division of NMBI in Ireland
* Evidence of personal professional development
* Ongoing skills training- relevant to care required for patient case load.
