Salary: €31,000 - €46,000

Are you a caring and dedicated nurse looking to make a difference in the lives of people with intellectual disabilities? Our clients is currently seeking applications from registered Nurses interested in joining a team within a specialist medical residential service. The service users they support have complex medical needs in addition to their disability needsand they require nursing staff to provide care for this specific service. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver effective, efficient, and quality assured care to all its service users.
Responsibilities and duties
* Assessing and planning nursing care for the service users
* Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
* Documenting and maintaining accurate records of service user care
* Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans
* Providing emotional support to service user and their families
* Monitoring and reporting changes in serviceusers health status
* Maintaining a safe and clean environment for service users
* Supervising and training nursing assistants
Essential Requirements
Possess a full clean driving license (St Laurence Residential position only).
* Experience of working with adults or children with disabilities desirable.
* Experience of working within a residential/respite setting an advantage.
* Have a minimum of 1 years post registration experience
* Experience of working in a person-centred health or social care setting
* Have such experience as will enable him/her to provide nursing duties as required.
