I am working with a public Sector organization to help them recruit for a Business Intelligence Programmer within their IT deparment.



The main duties incldue:
* Partner with business users to define analytics & reporting solutions that meet business needs
and collaborate with IT development to provide solutions. Work with the wider business to
enhance our business strategy through fulfilment of data and analysis requests. The nature of
these requests can be widely variedand often time sensitive;
* Identify, design, develop and maintain management Reports to meet business users
requirements - Develop reports using appropriate tools (e.g. OBIA, BI Publisher, OLAP, Smart
View) and agree appropriate delivery mechanism;
*Develop dashboards with drill-down capability to report Corporate Metrics and create new
dashboards to meet management and operational requirements;
* Prepare and execute unit & integration testing plans to ensure high quality results as required. Manage the relationship with business stakeholders to maximise the value add provided by the BICC and ensure that higher prioritytasks are done in a timely manner and progress clearly communicated;
* Ensure reports and processes are scalable, flexible, andwithin governed parameters (security, enterprise standards) to meet future business need;
* Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets to assist the business in increasing profit/ revenue opportunities;
* Generate standardor custom reports for review by executives, finance partners, managers, and other stakeholders in a timely manner - Monitor implemented reports, analytical solutions and processes to ensure high performance. Provide BI training to users and support to business users with self-service BI. Advise and educate both team members and the wider business on best practice and agreed definitions to ensure "one version of the truth";
* This BI Analyst role also be responsible for maintaining existing RPA processes. The Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Process involves acting as a subject matter expert on Robotic Process Automation architecture and methodology. The individual will be a key resource supporting my clients implementation of RPA and ongoingly responsible for design and development of new RPA processes and enhancements that are efficient and scalable;
* Own the framework that underpins the rapid and repeatable delivery of process automation and ongoing scheduling,

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualification, skills, knowledge and attributes;
* Preferably has a Hons Degree (NFQ Level 8) in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Business or numerical related discipline or is committed to working towards achievement of same;
* 5+ years' BI experience;
* Robotic Process Automation (RPA) experience would be a benefit;
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
*Working knowledge of BI and multidimensional data modelling required;
* Knowledge of OBIA, OBIEE, ODI, Oracle eBS tables, SmartView and BI Publisher a distinct advantage;
* Self-starter with ability to work successfully on own and as a team player;
* Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
