My Client are an NHS Trust based in Northampton and are seeking a CHC Clinical Nurse Specialist on an initial 3 month contract basis (37.5 Hours) Paying £303 per day (Inside IR35).
Located at Francis Crick House, Northampton, NN36BF however the Candidate will visit patients own homes and hospitals/nursing homes.
Job Summary
The post holder will linemanage a team of Continuing Healthcare Nurse Practitioners responsible for facilitating multi-disciplinary assessments and patient reviews in line with standard operating policy and procedures. The post holder will ensure that they and their team adhere at all times to the relevant National Framework and guidance, NMC Code of Professional Conduct and work within established policies, procedures, protocols and systems ensuring quality standards and performance as directed by the Specialist Nurse/Clinical Manager.
The post holder will support the Clinical Manager to ensure that their workstream is planned and managed effectively and take the lead in assisting in their successful delivery.
Knowledge / Experience
* Able to demonstrate knowledge base around MCA and consent issues.
* Evidence of teaching/mentorship
* Knowledge of safeguarding process and responsibilities
*Understanding of the public sector
* Demonstrated experience in a Healthcare environment.
* Aware of Caldicott principle and information governance
* Evidence of continued professional development.
* Experience of managing risks and reportingQualifications
* Educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level qualification or significant experience ofworking at a similar level in specialist area, ideally CHC
* Registered Nursing Qualification and current registration with NMC
* Evidence of post qualifying and continuing professional development
* First line management qualification or experienceor evidence of working at this level.
