Birmingham, West Midlands (commutable from Solihull, Coventry, Redditch, Walsall, Wolverhampton, Worcester, Tamworth)
My Client are an NHS Trust based in West Midlands and are seeking an IT Senior Security Analyst on an initial 10 month contract basis (37.5 Hours) Paying £206 per day (Inside IR35).
JOB PURPOSE:
Under the direction of the IT Security Manager, to lead and provide analysis of the Trust's IT systems' security, network technical security requirements, and security incident events. To develop and maintain a remediation plan of the highest level of IT security, to resolve issues identified from internal and external compliance exercise making sure that the Trust's technical infrastructure and applications comply with best practises in line with health records, cyber, and technical information security standards.
This role is vital in ensuring that the Trust is compliantwith Local/National policy and technical elements of the Data Security & Protection Toolkit that IT Services manages.
Therole will also be responsible for ensuring that actions plan from external and internal technical audits have assigned action owners are followed up within the specified time frames.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Supports the implementationof controls to maintain the safety, confidentiality, integrity, availability and security of the Trust's IT infrastructure and systems along with the protection of Trust and patient data, both stored and processed by infrastructure or applications managedby, or under the control of, the Trust.
* The post holder is required to be the designated specialist on cyber security information and event management tools for the IT department and provide an expert, specialist advice service, in accordance with national and local IT security policies and best practice; including development of others in this capability.

* Administration and Configuration of Security incident monitoring tools (IDS/IPS/SEIM) (E)

* Vulnerability assessment techniques (E)
* Risk management techniques (E)
* Technical knowledge of application and network security (E)
* Advanced experience of Microsoft Excel (E)
