My Client are an NHS Trust based in Peterborough and are seeking an Senior Occupational Health Nurse on an ongoing 12 week contract with an option of extension.
Job Summary
To provide impartial, confidential and expert Occupational Health and Wellbeing service to the employees of North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust and external clients. Provide professional leadership to Occupational Health & Wellbeing Advisors. To assist the Occupational Health & Wellbeing Lead Nurse inleading and advancing clinical practice in line with Department of Health guidelines and legislation. To maintain continuing professional development and contribute to the development of the Occupational Health service through research based practice andaudit.
Knowledge and Experience
* Management and/or Leadership experience
* Experience in phlebotomy
* Current knowledge of relevant professional and NHS initiatives
* Experience of undertaking audit or nurse research
* An enthusiastic and inspiring role model grounded in practice.
* Demonstrates a clear understanding of professional accountability in the scope ofprofessional practice.
* Ability to work effectively independently and also within a team framework.
* Ability to prioritiseand manage time effectively.
* Good interpersonal and communication skills, written and oral.
* Knowledge and experience ofoccupational health in the business Sector
* Experience working in NHS Occupational Health
* Knowledge and understanding ofoccupational diseases and ill health arising from the working environment
* Working in a nurse led OH service Current Immunisation training
Qualifications
* Registration with NMC Part 1
* Specialist Community Public Health Nurse on Part 3 of the NMC resister
* Evidence of up to date knowledge base of professional and specialist issues
* Sound educational backgroundincluding a good standard of numeracy and written English.
* NEBOSH qualification
* Occupational health qualification
