Description:
Retail Department Manager - North County Dublin
Key Responsibilities:Dynamic Leader
* Excellent Selling Skills by coaching retail team members continuously
* Ensure Product Knowledge training is ongoing
* Work within a team which is accountable for driving performance within their respective department on a shift basis.
* Ensure each Team Member has a clear understanding of their objectives, both in terms of sales and customer serviceboth on a shift basis
* Be a motivating presence on the floor, driving engagement and communication with all staff via structured initiatives
* Embed a continuous improvement ethos and drive change
* Act as key support and escalation point for staffas necessary with relevant stakeholders and escalate to the Manager where appropriate
* Communicate departmental priorities and updates on progress versus the same throughout the shift via real-time data
* Delegate all departmental operational tasksthrough staff members as appropriate to ensure effective execution
Results Driven
* Achieve sales versus budget andversus last year within the department
* Ensure the highest shop floor standards are maintained at all times within the department
* Completion of department floor walks
* Work within a team to execute Marketing and Buying strategies within the department
* Protect the profit of the business by actively managing stock loss results
* Instil exceptional customer serviceusing Mystery Shopping results as a key lever to coach/motivate or recognise as appropriate
* Monitor and manage absence as per policy
* Ensure delivery of compliance with all regulatory and security policies and procedures
* Profits
* Maximise sales to meet and exceed budgets on a weekly monthly and annual basis at the department level
* Maximise profit by ensuring OnShelf Availability is no less than 97% at the department level to be measured against relevant resolution codes
* Identify andcommunicate commercial opportunities where possible via key stakeholders.
Customer Led
* Embed a 'customer before task'ethos by motivating and coaching staff
* Ensure completion of Customer Satisfaction surveys by team members
* Ensure supervisory and staffing levels are correct to meet the demands of the business
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
* Minimum ofthree years of retail experience
* Proven track record in managing and motivating staff in a fast-moving retail environment* Proven track record in delivering on sales targets
* Excellent understanding of retail standards
* Excellent understanding of Microsoft Outlook
