CheckoutManager - Co Cork (Grocery)
The Checkout Manager is responsible to provide a superior shopping experience to our customers through their knowledge of our store and their customer service expertise. Responsible for managing the checkout and floor team on the operational day-to-day duties. This is a full-time position. Previous experience as a Manager is highly desirable.
Requirements
* 8+ years experience working as a supervisor/manager
* Excellent customer service skills and an ability to dealwith all customer queries efficiently, professionally and consistent with store policy
* Knowledge of stock management including rotation, merchandising and facing off
* Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment and to multi-task
* Strong work ethic & will be flexible to meet the changing business requirements
* Ability to work as part of a teamand support other team members as required
Key Responsibilities
* Provide a superior shopping experience to customers; anticipating their needs and working hard to meet and exceed same
* Stock management to ensure all products are available to customers and to minimise waste.
* Opening and closing of the business
* Cash management for the checkout area
* Rostering staff as required for the week ahead
* Communicate updates to the team members regarding operations, train new staff members and upskill existing ones.
* Monitoring HACCP in this department and ensuring all relevant documentation completed
* Purchasing duties, including dealing with reps, and suppliers, delivering and stock and order system.
* Operating online platforms forpurchasing.
