GardenCentre Supervisor - Co. Donegal
Reporting to the Store Manager, you will be essential to the success of the Store. We require a responsible and enthusiastic person with a love of gardening to work in the Garden Centre, handling a wide range of products. The successful person must be able to work on their own but also work as part of a team. Consistently delivering excellent customer service whilst merchandising stock, creating powerful displays and maintaining the Garden Centre to the highest possible standard.
Key Responsibilities
* To provide a professional, friendly and efficient service to the Garden Centre's customers, understanding their needs and requirements.
* Maintaining the highest standards of store presentation and cleanliness including shop floor, garden centre and display areas
* Developing a relationship with nurseries/garden suppliers to avail of constantly changing seasonal offerings and trends
* Delivering sales growth and achieving sales targets
* Lead the Garden CentreTeam
* Plant husbandry and maintenance
* Delivering excellent customer service to all customers
* Merchandising stock & creating powerful displays
* Maintain stock control to ensure fresh offerings to customers
* Maintain & continuously develop excellent levels of product knowledge
* Managing point-of-sale processes, including cash, card and credit transactions* Comply with health & safety regulations
* Flexibility to provide support to all areas of the store
The ideal candidate will have;
* Will be able to demonstrate a love of gardening and a good general knowledge of the gardening industry
*A qualification in Horticulture would be advantageous, not essential
* Work well as part of a close-knit team
* Must be ableto build and maintain customer relationships, delivering an excellent customer experience.
* The ability to work effectivelyon own initiative and as part of a team
* Excellent customer focus
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills and goodattention to detail
