Store Manager (Service Station) - Co. Galway
The Store Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the service operation in the retail store. Ensuring the store operates efficiently and effectively and that all customers are provided with the best customer service and fresh food offerings at all times. Delivering key store targets through effective management of peopleand operations.
Reporting to: Retail Operations Manager
Main Duties:
* Oversee and ensure the smooth running of the store
* Set, monitor and achieve sales targets with the team on gross profit margin, net margin, waste and other KPIs as agreed* Ensure all staff are inducted and trained to the highest level in all aspects of their role, in accordance with policies, procedures and best practices of the company;
* Ensuring security and health and safety standards are met, protecting customersand employees through providing a safe store environment
* Ensuring strong promotional activity is maximised and in line withgroup standards
* Practicing excellent stock control and management processes in line with company standards
* Manage employee rostering and annual leave and maintain accurate and secure records
* Ensure merchandising and presentation of the entirestore is of the highest standard at all times and in accordance with relevant store planograms and guidelines
* Develop and promote good communication between employees and management in a safe, respectful and inclusive environment
* Deal with all customer queries efficiently, professionally and consistently with store policy
* Engage with new initiatives and embrace new waysof working
The ideal candidate will have/be:
* Minimum 2-3 years experience in a relevant retail management position
*An understanding of how to achieve KPIs and targets and an understanding of stock management, financial management & reporting systems
* Strong knowledge and experience in reading and actioning reports
* Excellent communication skills
* Good delegation skills
* Highly driven with a strong work ethic
* Passion for grocery retail and thrive in a fast-paced working environment.
