Forecourt Store Manager - West Co Cork (Service Station)
Seeking a dynamic, passionate, and enthusiastic Forecourt Manager to join the team. As the Forecourt Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the operation of the store, with the support of the head office team.
Highly competent regarding margin control, maximizing sales, and increasing profitability across the departments through excellent analysis of sales, margins, and overheads. Devising and implementing appropriate operating processes, systems, and proceduresto ensure consistent delivery of high-quality, repeatable business results to meet current and future business needs.
This isan exciting role and your duties will include:
* Managing all aspects of the store's operations, including inventory management, ordering and receiving merchandise, and ensuring product availability and freshness.
* Achieve fuel and non-fuel sales and profit targets.
* Managing all controllable costs to keep operations profitable.
* Managing the budgets and revenue for the store.
* Maintaining store staff by recruiting, selecting, and training new staff, in conjunction with the HR department.* Providing ongoing training to improve the knowledge base of the staff and utilize cross-training methods to maintain productivity when employees are absent.
* Developing and implementing strategies to drive sales and meet revenue targets.
* Using your team to constantly innovate in your product offering, using merchandising skills to upsell, and looking at new ways to bringin new streams of revenue.
* Ensuring effective stock rotation and implementing stock monitoring systems.
* Managing cash handling in line with company procedures and addressing discrepancies.
* Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, including employment law, health and safety regulations, HACCP, and sale of goods.
* Creating staff rosters within budgetary provisions.
* Maintaining a strong brand image, by being a solid mentor, and leading by example within your role as Store Manager.
*Motivating employees to provide excellent customer service, maintain store cleanliness, and uphold company policies and standards.
* Monitoring sales, analyzing performance data, and implementing action plans for store optimization.
* Maintaining visual merchandising standards.
* Building strong customer relationships.
* Addressing customer queries and handling complaints.* Collaborating with the leadership team on store planning, profit and loss (P&L), and key performance indicators (KPIs).* Coordinating with the head office.
Requirements
* Previous experience as an Assistant Store Manager or in a similar leadership role within the retail industry, preferably in a convenience store, Grocery Store, or fuel station setting.
* Proventrack record of achieving sales targets, driving business growth, and maximizing profitability
* Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse workforce
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with customers, employees, and partners.
* Should be capable of working on theirown initiative
* Should take pride in the store and ensure store standards are met consistently
