Get Recruited are currently recruiting for a market leading global company based in Manchester who are going through an exciting period of growth. As a result, they are seeking an experienced Category Analyst to join their team.
As the Category Analyst you will be responsible for supporting the sales and marketing team, by analysing market and category data in order to provide insight into market trends and opportunities forthe brands. This is a exciting opportunity for an experienced Category Analyst/Brand Analyst/Marketing Analyst/Retail Analyst/FMCG
THE ROLE
* Directly reporting to the Marketing Director and working closely with the Marketing and Sales team.
* Assess business and market trends to recommend, test and analyse data to identify any strengths, weaknesses, opportunities or threats for the business.
* Update and report market changes on a monthly basis using a number of different data sources.
* Through the use of account specific data, identify potential opportunities for furthur business growth.
* Supporting NPD and brand communication by researching market data and price positioning, as well as helping predict sales performance.
THE PERSON* Must have used IRI Software.
* Experience with Dunhumby is a strong plus, along with I2C / SIP
* FMCG or Retailer Experience.
* Ability to work with others as an effective, supportive team member.
* Strong analytical, numerical and planning skills.
* Strong MS Excel and Power BI skills.
* Ability to analyse and interpret large sets of complex data.
