IT ACCOUNT MANAGER
THE OPPORTUNITY:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced IT Sales / IT Account Manager to join a global businessthat specialises specifically within the LIS / LIMS / Lab Information Systems space.
The position has arisen as part of theirstrategic growth plans to further establish their presence within the UK space. This presents the perfect opportunity for an ambitious individual who have good knowledge of the industry and who is keen to join a company that can offer a very bright future. For this position, you'll need experience of LIS / Laboratory Information Systems or HIS / Hospital Information Systems or other Medical Device Management Systems.
Location: UK, Field based / Home Based / Work From Home
Package: £45,000 to £60,000Basic (Negotiable) + OTE + Company Car + Benefits

THE ROLE:
* Running the sales area as a business to maximise profitable sales of systems
* Maintain a currentand in-depth knowledge of the system; keep up to date with other portfolio products and where these may interact or overlap
*Establish a customer call frequency appropriate to the level and state of business at each account.
* Carry out sales visits,presentations and demonstrations of the system to the highest level of professionalism.
* Maximise existing installed base byencouraging additional instrument connections.
* Working with the Service Coordinator ensure customer service contracts are up to date, priced accordingly and renewals issued
* In conjunction with the IT Implementation Specialist Team ensure that newsystems are installed efficiently and brought into routine use as quickly as possible.
* With the aid of the IT ImplementationSpecialist Team ensure satisfactory training programmes are delivered for total customer satisfaction.
* At each account ensure that all decision makers are identified, visited and sold to, including supplies and management personnel.
* Liaise with the IT Business Unit Manager in the completion of tenders.
* Liaise regularly with your other field-based staff (e.g. Field Service Engineers, IT & Application Specialists) to ensure a free flow of market information.
* Visit lost sales, obtain debrief information and maintain contact for future business.
* Be aware of and report on competitive activities / strategies.
THE PERSON:
* Experience with Laboratory Information Systems/Hospital Information Systems or other IVD/Medical Device data management systems.
* BSc in Science or Business or related field with a minimum of 5 years business or related experience.
*Knowledge of IVD / In Vitro Diagnostics Industry an advantage
* Knowledge in IT & Information systems
* Good Selling techniques
* Applicable norms to tendering processes
