The Role
My client, one of Ireland's largest paint companies is seeking an experienced Merchandiser to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent, on-site based position.
As the Merchandiser, you will be responsible for the provision of point-of-purchase, shelf management services and best in class store shopping experiences. You will cover the Donegal, Louth and Northern Ireland regions.
Tasks & Duties
* To ensure that every item in inventory is priced appropriately and presented attractively.
* To collaborate closely with managers and store owners to promote the companies brand andproducts and to ensure that merchandise is prominently displayed in stores.
* To ensure adequate supplies of colour cards, point of sale (POS) materials, window graphics, bespoke store POS and all branding material in all required retail stockists.
* To install POS and manage promotions within stores in partnership with Area Sales Managers and the Marketing Department.
* To assist with special projects within the allocated area, including new store installations, replacement of stands and equipment and trade events.
* Work closely with the Merchandising Operations Manager to ensure POS and installations are carried out in atimely manner and with adequate planning.
* To update software and maintenance of tinting machinery in stores as required.* To build strong relationships with our customers.
Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications
* Previous merchandising experience essential.
* Capacity to work on their own initiative and as part of a team.
* Excellent time management skills.
* Always portray a pleasant personality and excellent company image.
* Strong DIY skills and abilities.
* Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to build effective team relationships and strong company/customer relationships.
* Good numeric and literacy skills and great attention to detail.
* Demonstrated planning and organisational abilities.
* Full clean driver's license and excellent driving skills is essential for this position.
