Director of Quality Assurance - Pharma
I have a new, exciting opportunity for an exceptional Director of Quality Assurance to lead the Quality function in this Global pharma company.
As the Director of QualityAssurance, you will play a vital role in ensuring that the company meets regulatory requirements while fostering a culture of excellence. This position offers the chance to provide effective leadership, contribute to the growth strategies of the company and cultivate a high-performing quality team.
Responsibilities:
* Inspire and lead the quality efforts across the site, overseeing successful quality oversight and positively influencing business growth.
* Develop and drive the Quality Assurance strategy, working closely with the senior leadership team to establish policies, procedures, and systems that ensure compliance with the required regulatory standards.
* Foster a quality culture throughout the organization, ensuring the quality function isappropriately staffed.
* Manage and develop the quality team of , creating a positive work environment through effective hiring, training, and professional development.
* Continuous improvement of quality systems, including internal audits, supplier quality management, change control, documentation control, deviations, and data quality.
* Conduct comprehensive reviews of thequality system, scheduling annual quality reviews and ensuring the effective implementation of resulting actions.
* Take overall responsibility for scheduling regulatory inspections, managing Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), and handling all correspondence with regulators relating to inspections.
* Ensure compliance with controlled substance licensing requirements andfull adherence to regulations governing the possession of controlled substances.
* Oversee the Metrology function, maintaining calibration and qualification schedules and coordinating unscheduled metrology work.
* Act as the management representativefor regulatory bodies, serving as the primary point of contact for communicating site changes or variations to licenses or certificates.
* Assist in the preparation of the annual department budget, supporting the achievement of financial objectives.
*Stay updated with regulatory changes, apply them to the quality systems, and provide necessary training and briefings to keep everyone informed.
* Maintain a set of metrics to measure system performance and the quality performance .
* Regularly share these metrics with senior management.
Qualifications:
* A degree in a science discipline.
* Additional qualification inQuality Assurance, including internal auditing, is highly desirable.
* Experience within a laboratory or Quality Control environment.
* Minimum of 7 years of experience in a Quality Assurance role, with at least 4 years at a management level.
* Strong knowledge of relevant standards and regulations, such as ISO 17025, EU and US GMPs, and ICH guidelines.
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
* Excellent report writing, communication, and organizational skills.
* Passion for quality and commitment to maintaining industry and client standards.
* Positive and tenacious approach to work.
* Highly organized, methodical, and systematic in approach.
* Enthusiasm for delivering exceptional quality and customer service.
