FRS Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Environmental Field Technician on behalf of a leading provider of integrated environmental , analytical , monitoring and consulting services. This is a 12 month fixed term role.
Myclient has recently secured new contracts and is in the process of expanding its Environmental sampling department. If you are living County Galway, Mayo or Sligo and flexible with travelling to other nearby counties we would be very interested in hearingfrom you. Excellent training will be provided.
Duties to include
* The Environmental Field Technician will be responsiblefor sampling drinking, ground and surface water samples to ISO standard. As well as the operation and maintenance of auto-sampler systems and field equipment, documentation and logging samples.
* Use of basic computer software to enter field data and observations through the Laboratory Information System (LIMS) system .
* Understanding of and adherence to environmental regulations and procedures.
* Field testing including pH, Conductivity, temperature, DO, total and free chlorine and other specifiedtests.

* Completing and maintaining all the necessary paperwork associated with the samples and maintaining all records required by the laboratory* Maintaining the reputation of the company by being prompt and professional.
* Operation and proper maintenance of a company vehicle, cell phone and any other equipment.
* Willingness to undertake daily travel including occasional overnight stays will form an important part of this role.
Experience required
* Successful candidates will have good communication and organisation skills. The candidate should be outcome-oriented and have strong attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently from written work descriptions without direct onsite supervision.
* Hold a full clean drivers license. Must be able to drivesafely in various conditions and must be able to follow street maps.
* A background in farming or 3rd level Cert / Degree inAgriculture an advantage but not essential
