Position Overview:
As a Safety ,Health, Environmentaland Quality (SHEQ) Laboratory Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining high safety and quality standards throughout the business. You will be responsible for performing wet chemistry testing and ensuring compliance with ISO standards. This isa unique opportunity to be involved in various aspects of SHEQ duties while utilizing your laboratory expertise. Responsibilities:
* Receive and accurately log samples into the QC Laboratory,following safety policies and procedures.
* Conduct analysis of incoming raw material, in-process, finished product, and retention samples according to specifications.
* Perform Density/Moisture analysis on finished product samples in compliance withIS EN standards and other samples and standards.
* Record and maintain results in a timely and accurate manner.
* Prepare and sign off on Quality Assurance Certificates (C of A's) to ensure compliance.
* Manage bunds and maintain records of surface waters and bund recycling activities.
* Adhere to departmental management systems to ensure consistent practices.
* Ensure correct labelling of laboratory reagents and samples for proper identification.
* Collaborate with the QC Department (Senior LabAnalyst and SHEQ Manager) to troubleshoot any analytical work.
* Assist in the revision and maintenance of laboratory SOPs and specifications to ensure compliance.
* Contribute to "non-conformance" and "Laboratory Investigations Reports" to drive continuous improvement.
* Conduct routine SHEQ inspections, document findings, and report any issues promptly.
* Maintain an up-to-date and compliant training record related to Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality.
Skills and Experience:* Bachelor's Degree /Diploma in Science
* Min 2-3 years of experience in a similar laboratory environment.
* Proficiency inwet chemistry techniques such as titrations, pH, density, turbidity, and moisture analysis.
* Familiarity with EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) practices is desirable.
* Ability to work independently.
* Experience with Management Systems, specifically ISO9001, ISO14001, and ISO45001.
