Job Title: Assistant Design Manager
Location: Office based in Newbury

We are looking you to be acompetent designer with knowledge of MEP engineering systems, BIM, Green and emerging technologies, procurement and risk management. You will have a basic understanding of RIBA stages, contracts, planning, management systems, life cycle cost and value creation.
Job Function:
You will be supporting the Senior design manager by being engaged and involved in pre-construction stages; by reviewing MEP packages, being involved in the day to day DTM's and help lead the process throughout live projects.
Job responsibilities:
* Support with MEP Consultant engagement and appointments
* Support with project bids following the internal design management framework and milestones
* Value engineering options and risk management
* Support in the production of the Contractors Proposals, ensuring they are complete and unambiguous
* Work with the Design Manager to produce and manage the design programme and Information Required Schedule
* Review all design deliverables', including specialist supplier elements including technical submittals, drawings and interfaces to establish that they are technically compliant, within budget, are fully coordinated and are buildable
* Coordinate project team MEP design comments, and resolve any design related construction queries with the design team
* Review the design with respect to mitigating Health and Safety issues prior to construction* Provide guidance to the Project team on design related issues.

Essential experience needed:

Minimum 1-2 year's experience within this sector
