About the Role
Responsible for the site supervision offield operatives (direct labour and sub contract) to ensure that all Client orders are delivered to time, in a safe and compliant manner, ensuring all contractual processes, procedures and quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
As Civils Supervisor you will reporting to a Civils/ Build Manager, responsible for overseeing all civils activities relating to fibre build programme.
Other responsibilities will include:
* Liaising with Highways Authority, Police and Local Authorities
* Client liaison - joint audit/FSVA.
* As-Built verification and submission
* CCH/SSWR/Damages - escalation and ensuring compliance to contractual clearance timescales
* Ensure compliance to all quality and safety standards via in-progress andretro checking regime.
* Read and interpret client network schematics
* In field coaching and identification of operative training and accreditation requirements
* Ensuring operatives have correct accreditation's
* Responsible for stores and materials
Skills and experience required:
Essential:
* Good people management skills
* Good understandingof legislation affecting the companies activities in the highway.
* Ability to liaise effectively with Client Management teams, Street works and planning representatives.
* Ability to liaise effectively with Highways representatives.
* Awareness andunderstanding of the Communications Network Installation Specifications
* NRSWA - Current qualification to supervisor standard.
Desirable:
* Experience in all workstreams on the BT Openreach Network.
* Relevant Openreach Civils accreditations
* COSHH/RIDDOR/Health &Safety at Work - Knowledge of regulations and requirements
