Estimator Joinery - Fit-Out

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for one of our clients based in Central London. They are a specialist joinery contractor, that has been working in collaboration with some of the most well-established main contractors in the UK on many highly prestigious developments. During that time, the there labor force has increased to over 150 skilled craftsmen, making my clients workforce the most qualified in both the Brickwork and Carpentry & Joinery sectors.
Now due to growth and expansion, they are now looking for a Joinery Estimator to join the team.
Responsibility & Duties
* Produce Bills of Quantities, from completing material take off.
* Produce buying analysis and obtain day work rates for approval by the Regional Director/Commercial Manager, prior to the order being placed.
* Preparing and placing sub-contract orders in accordance with the agreed procurement schedule
* Ensure timely valuation and re-measurement of the accounts for sub-contractors, in accordance withthe agreed T & C's.
* Prepare, agree and issue final accounts to sub-contractors, after approval with the Commercial Director and Senior Directors.
* Ensure that all sub-contractor payments are on time, in accordance with internal payment protocol, and agreed to T & C's.
* Prepare, produce and issue accurate and timely CVC's.
* Issue a project out turn cost sheet upon completion of the contract/package/project.
* Agree to the external final account with clients and obtain the final account statement for Managing Director approval.
Experience & Qualification
* Working experience within estimating and cost planning.
* Must be able to tender a project as well as price packages.
* Must have a proven track record in pricing fit-out project.
* A minimum of 5 years of Estimating experience with a Fit Out Sub-Contractor.
* Ideally, from a Joinery background, an understanding of the market is essential
