Health & Safety Manager - Banbury, Oxfordshire (OX17)
Our client, a main contractor specialising in formwork/RC frames projects across the UK, are currently recruiting for an health and safety manager to join their growing team based in Banbury, Oxfordshire
Asa Health & Safety Manager, you will working closely with the director and health and safety department to drive the company's heath and safety strategies in line with overall site objectives.
Duties/Responsibilities include:
* Plan and carry outaudits and site inspections
* Attend pre-start meetings and advise on high risk activities.
* Produce reports on the results of site safety inspections or safety audits.
* Provide training to staff and/or operatives.
* Assist in the preparation, review and approval of Site Health and Safety Plans.
* Contribute to the review of H&S operating standards to ensure all relevant legislation is complied with.
* Advise and assist in the identification of hazards and the preparation of risk assessments and safety method statements.
* Ensure all reportable incidents have been filed in an accident report
* Provide guidanceon all aspects of safety, health, welfare and fire prevention matters.
The ideal candidate will be have the following:
*SMSTS
* NEBOSH Diploma Qualification
* Good knowledge of CDM regulations
* Competent using a range of IT packages
