Description:
FRS Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Intermediate (3-5yrs) Quantity Surveyor fora Top Tier Main Contractor for a €400m+ Project in Dublin City Centre.
Our client would have a long history of high profile projects across the board with values from €5m to €400m+. They have also won numerous awards for Commercial, Residential, Educational & Public Works contracts.
Responsibilities:
* Reporting to the Surveying Director
* Assisting the Senior QS through negotiation of sub-contract procurement and appointment process.
* Monitoring and submission of interim and final accounts.
* Assisting in the preparation of monthly cost reports, cash flow and payment forecasts.
* Supporting the Estimating Department in the review of quotations at tender stage.
* Adhering to all policies and procedures and ensure compliance with ISO requirements.
* Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client
* Undertaking cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work;
* Assisting in establishing the client's requirements and undertaking feasibility studies;
* Performing risk, value management and cost control;
* Identifying,analysing and developing responses to commercial risks;
* Preparing and analysing costings for tenders;
* Allocating work to subcontractors;
* Analysing outcomes and writing detailed progress reports;
* Valuing completed work and arranging payments;
* Maintaining awareness of the different building contracts in current use;
* Implementation/Monitoring of health and safety regulations.
* Assisting with or preparing monthly applications
* Reviewing weekly productivity of teams.
* Undertaking interim and final valuations for works complete
* Managing work in progress and ensuring debtors are kept to a minimum
Requirements:
* Degree Qualification in Construction Economics/Quantity Surveying.
* 3-5 years experience as an QS with a Main Contractor.
* Excellent writing, reporting, analytical and IT skills.
