Laboratory Lead/Manager
Are you someone who is passionate about leading teams in a laboratory testing environment?
I am seeking a Laboratory Leader to provide a professional, confidential, and accuratetesting service for customers in the Water/Wastewater treatment industry.
Scope
The Laboratory Leader's purpose is to ensure day to day running of the laboratory is completed safely and meets the needs and expectations of internal and external customers. You will act to ensure this company is a trusted partner offering world class and credible water test facilities.
You will be responsible for the day to day running of the laboratory and the flow of work through the team to achieve customer requirements. Your work will include planning, resource management and problem solving to eliminate interruptions in testing activities. You will be lead a small team of 4 to include people development, direction and all HR processes.
This is a full-time position based near Co Clare/Limerick, Monday to Friday days schedule only.
What you will be doing:
* Manage operation of theWater Laboratory
* Liaise with Customers on Technical issues, sampling programs, and future projects and product quality issues.
* Manage Laboratory Team and resources.
* Oversee INAB and ISO Systems.
* Become a technical resource on company products and their applications.
* Motivate and develop the team to optimise individual performance while meeting safety, quality,productivity.
* and customer satisfaction targets.
* Monitor and achieve KPI'S in relation to delivery targets and queries,to develop & maintain a continuous
* improvement culture.
* Complete regular 1-1's and performance discussions with teammembers
* Adhere to all Health and Safety protocols
What we're looking for:
The ideal candidate will be as a minimum Level 8 degree educated in a science related subject and will be able to demonstrate at least 3 years' industry experience of people management and hands on industry experience in a laboratory testing environment. Specific training on the testing processes and materials worked with will be provided so if you haven't worked in this industry that's ok, candidates with experience in a similar role in other industries are encouraged to apply.
