Site Manager
Location: Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire
Salary: Up to £70,000 + Package
Position: Permanent
Our client is an award-winning housebuilder, creating new homes across London and the South East.
Theyare looking to recruit a qualified and competent Site Manager with experience managing residential internal fit out Projects for a development in Hemel Hempstead on 150 new build apartments (rc frame) over a 70 week programme.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure all health & safety/ISO procedures are followed
To work closely with subcontractors and maintain qualitycontrol
To work closely with all members of the site delivery team and proactively drive communication and problem solvingTo organise & control the construction of development in accordance with the specification provided
To ensure construction complies with LABC and all other statutory authorities
To establish good working relationships with utility companies toensure timely connections
Prepare material take offs and schedule deliveries (if requested)
Work closely with the supply chain to adhere to all the site wide rules that are implemented
To assist and integrate new employees and promote team workingHandover completed scheme to client on time, to agreed quality standard and budget
Produce short term programmes (using asta or excel).
Host subcontractor meetings and follow up with agreed actions)
Complete weekly safety and quality documentation.
Interrogate and influence designs to facilitate buildability
Issue weekly programme droplines (if requested)RELEVANT EXPERIENCE (including qualifications):
Candidates will be likely to come from a Contracting background and be familiar and competent dealing with high end technically complex designs.
Self-motivation, drive and a passion to succeed whilst being able to balance decisions giving guidance and support to other members of the production team
Experience in traditionalmasonry housing is mandatory and RC frame construction would be ideal to allow flexibility amongst the region.
Previous experience of working within a large team on site and managing assistants and trainees
Recent experience of working on mixed use schemes incorporating mainly residential and affordable housing ideally on projects £30m+
A proven track record of quality delivery on time is paramount
IT literate
Competent and comfortable with groundwork and infrastructure activities
