Solidworks - Furniture Draughtsman
PermanentLocation - Norfolk
Salary - £25,000 - £35,000 Per Annum Negotiable Depending on experience + Profit Scheme
My client are a leading British manufacturer of exquisite bespoke furniture, cabinetry and specialist joinery. Craftsmanship, attention to detail and peerless service are central to the company's ethos and has ensured successful collaborations with eminent private, professional and commercial clients worldwide. Based in Norfolk, the company's manufacturing complex is where traditional cabinetmaking, bench joinery, veneering, carving, gilding and polishing skills are nurtured - complemented by modern design, manufacturing and finishing techniques.
Due to continued success we are looking for an experienced Solidworks - technician to join their team ideally from a joinery or bespoke furniture background.
Responsibility & Duties
* Resolving Interior Designers and Architects' conceptual sketches into detailed working technical drawings.
* You will have a good working knowledge of timber and board constructional methods and the use of associated hardware.
* You will be requisitioning materials for in-house manufacture and co-ordinating sub contract suppliers. You will be managing projects through manufacture to successful installation within budget and exceeding customer expectations.
Experience & Qualification
* Knowledge and experience of Solidworks Ideally or similar CAD program
* Portfolio available upon request
* Joinery Cabinetry & Furniture experience* Driving License
* Skilled in 3D CAD and ideally SolidWorks, AutoCAD
* Experience in a wood-based environment - joinery, shopfitting or cabinet making
* CNC and / or hands-on cabinet making experience would be beneficial
* Good interpersonal skills to create effective working relationships
