Description:
We are currently recruiting for an exciting contract win and looking for Street Lighting Electricians to work for a reputable contractor that is part of global business to deliver LED Street lighting installations across parts of Suffolk.
You will be based from the local depot in Ipswich. There is consideration for a Lodge allowance that can be provided at £40/ day in certain circumstances.
You will have the opportunity to earn bonus.
The role:
* You will carryout installation duties to convert existing lighting to new LED lanterns including a full electrical test and completion and submission of an electrical test certificate.
* Carry out visual survey works to all columns, brackets or other minor structuresand record results via electronic means to ensure suitable for new lantern to be fitted.
* To work safely at all times, to ensure your teams safety and the safety of the general public by engaging in Health and safety actively and by encouraging your team members to always think safety first in everything you do.
* To carry out a visual electrical survey of columns before workscommence and record any unsafe conditions and/or repair and advise supervisor if works cannot continue.
* To set out TM to (traffic and pedestrian) conform to legislation and best practise as required and remove after works completed.
* To meet or exceed set daily outputs
* To ensure that all works undertaken by all persons in your team are recorded accurately with detaileddaily reporting and submitted within the required timescales.
* Attend and participate in inclusive pre start daily briefings.* Support the Project Manager/Contracts Manager and the other department supervisors in the execution of their duties.You will be required to have the following training, however there is an opportunity to work with the contractor to upskill ifyou don't hold all required training certificates.
* Electrical qualification 236 parts 1 and 2 to 18th edition of BS7671 is essential
* Qualified for testing to 2391 or equivalent
* HERS registered electric
* HEA electrical qualification
* Streetworks
* G39
You must have the ability to work to deadlines and flexibility with working hours and be a team player.Paid CIS or PAYE Umbrella
Paid weekly
12 hour shifts
There is a strict Drugs & Alcohol Policy with testing atinduction and ad hoc throughout the project duration
