Change Specialist - Solihull or Remote Working - £30,000 - £35,000 PA Plus Benefits Package
As an IT Change Specialist within this fast paced & highly successful FinTech corporate, youwill work closely with the Change Manager to review, assess and manage IT Change Requests through to successful Release & implementation.
The role is offered as a permanent role with full remote working with the Change Specialist typically only required to attend their Solihull office once or twice a quarter for meetings.
The Change Specialist will support the management of the change process and procedures, working with colleagues across all business areas with their IT Change requests and supporting the Change Manager in ensuring that all change activities relating to the production environments are fully documented, scheduled and ensure the change management process has been adhered to.
For those that have an interest, there will on occasions, be opportunities to get involved with Release work too.
Responsibilities Include:
Assessing, analysing, developing,documentation and implementing changes based on requests for change.
Supporting the management of changes through their lifecycle, from submission to completion and closure of the change requests
Providing the Change Manger with documentation of PostImplementation Reviews for all changes, including lessons learnt for review and sign off
Supporting the Change Manager in coordinating changes across the business, ensuring correct procedures are followed and changes are accurately recorded, scheduledand controlled
Providing the Change Manger with initial priority and impact of changes being raised and supporting the ChangeManager in coordinating change approvals, liaising between both approvers and initiators
Support the Change Manager in preparing and distributing regular reports and analysis
Proactively checking the status of changes and liaising with all areas within the business to progress requests, checking status and chasing information where necessary throughout the Change lifecycleContinually monitor the designated change queue in Service Desk
To act as a focal point on a day to day basis for all change management issues & enquiries
Where necessary, prepare documentation (including reports, agendas and minutes) for the Change Advisory Board (CAB)
Chair regular and ad-hoc meetings including CAB's and prepare presentations if required
Promoting and adhering to ITIL guidelines, best practices and documentation, ensuring colleagues are following the guidelines
Collecting and using feedback from customers and stakeholders to help measure effectiveness of stakeholder management.
Developing,documenting and implementing changes based on requests for change. Applying the change control procedures
Using appropriate methods and tools in the development, maintenance, control and distribution of quality and environmental standards. Making technical changes to quality and environmental standards according to documented procedures.
Preferred Skills & Experience:Previous experience within a Change role or function
ITIL qualified to Foundation Level is preferred or significant experience working in a similar role in an ITIL environment
Demonstrable knowledge of ITIL standards
Strong verbal and written communication skills
The ability to spot change improvements and action them
Must be able to perform effectively in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment whilst maintaining a high level of service
Able to work to tight deadlines
Good documentation, Excel & Sharepoint skills are a bonus
