Overview of the Developer:
The purpose of the role is to work alongside a team of other developers to build websites and applications, both for specific client projects, as well as contributing to the company's internalmicroservice-based platform.
Due to continued growth and demand in the business we can be flexible in hiring either a JuniorDeveloper, Developer or Senior Developer and salary will depend on the experience you can offer into the role.
Developer Duties:
* Taking ownership of assigned tasks and projects, completing them within agreed deadlines
* Completing developmenttasks using a range of technology including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL
* Testing tasks completed by yourself or others for bugs, quality, and performance
* Working with other developers in your team to resolve problems
* Investigating andresolving bugs or issues assigned to you
* Reviewing other developers' codes via pull requests and providing constructive feedback
* Communicating with project managers or other stakeholders to understand requirements and feedback questions or concerns
* Effectively communicating problems or issues preventing you from completing your assigned tasks
* Improving developer documentation
* Finding and communicating ways to optimise and improve existing processes, procedures, and technology
* Contributing to development standards
* Supporting and guiding other developers in your team, including junior developers
Ideal Background:
* PHP (inc. PHP 7.x); Modern PHP frameworks and Composer
* Automated testing in PHP (unit, integration, e2e testing)
* MySQL, Postgres or other SQL databases
* Redis, Memcached, or other key-value stores
* Caching and cache invalidation methodologies
* Object oriented design principles and common design patterns
* Client-side JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Vue.js)
* Software and database performance optimisation

* Queues and worker processes in PHP
