The ERP Database Developer / Business Analyst will thrive in a multi-faceted role which will include undertaking Database development, Business Analysis, Application Support, together with being the internal Consultant for the business on everything ERP related. Through your hard work and skilled database development skills, you will be contributing to the ERP Product Roadmap, planning & undertaking major ERP systems, modules and functionality improvements.
With good communication and people skills being essential to be able to understand and develop solutions that the business requires, the ERP Database Developer / Business Analyst willbe used to translating often complex technical jargon into Lay language for their non-technical stakeholders & colleagues.Responsibilities Summary:
Business Applications:
* Undertake Database Development utilising strong SQL or OraclePL/SQL skills
* Configure and maintain the IFS ERP solution (specific training with IFS will be provided)
* As part of theteam, deliver a product roadmap alongside third party developers
* Investigate, troubleshoot & document Database, ERP & technical issues
* Work closely with non-technical stakeholders to document & translate business requirements
* Buildknowledge of the existing systems and the new features/functionality required by the business
Reporting:
* Assist in creating and maintaining improved management reporting within the IFS ERP using external tools such as Business Reporter, Power BIand Crystal Reports
* Respond to Ad-hoc reporting requests
Support:
* Provide Internal support for all ERP issues experienced by Users
* Provide first time fix or communicate issues to the third party vendors for resolution
* Track ongoing internal and external support tickets.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
* Strong Database Development or ERP experience utilising solid SQL or Oracle PL/SQL programming skills
* Business Analysis skills, able to work with non-technical stakeholders to define & gather requirements
* Ability to translate effectively into technical specifications
* Able to provideERP support internally across their large & complex databases & ERP solution
* Some demonstrable involvement in ERP implementation projects is useful
* 3+ years technology experience within a business environment
* Willingness to go the extramile and able to work to deadlines when required
* Enjoys translating complex technical jargon into easy to understand Lay language
* High levels of personal organisation and motivation
* Excellent communication skills and confidence in communicating with staff of all levels
* Able to provide support to Users with a range of process or technical issues
* Previous experience of coaching and training end users is beneficial
* Willingness to learn and continually improve skills and technical proficiency
Useful Skills Include:
* Specific IFS ERP experience
* Experience with designing and developing new applicationfeatures from a business objective in a manufacturing environment
