IO Associates are helping a leading organisation recruit an Information Security Analyst. The successful candidate will support the management of information security at the company.

Role: Information Security Analyst
Salary: Up to £35,000 + Great Benefits + Progression Opportunity
Location: Cheshire
Key Responsibilities:
·Responsible for investigating reported security incidents and ensuring they are processed in line with the relevant procedures.
·Produce management reports based on the analysis of reported security incidents and other information security related statistics.
·Carrying out detailed analysis of statistics, procedures and practices to ensure compliance with policies.
·Identifying areas for improvement and working with colleagues to implement improvement measures, applying a continuous improvement approach.
·Supporting the development ofsystems and processes to promote excellence in information security, ensuring the organisation complies with Cyber Essentials,ISO27001, GDPR, legislation and best practice.
·Providing administrative support for our information security audits, risk assessments and supplier assurance work.
·Providing advice and guidance to staff, associates and our suppliers to ensure compliancewith our policies and procedures.
·Keeping up to date with information security and cyber security best practice guidance andnew threats.
Essential Experience:
·A strong understanding of current information security standards and best practice, including ISO27001, GDPR, IGToolkit and Cyber Essentials
·A strong understanding of the purposes, principles and practices of information security, risk assessment and data protection.
·Ability to use MS Office Suite products and various IT systems
·A strong understanding of Security, Risk and IT standards, policies and frameworks including ISO27001, ITIL and GDPR.
·Previous Governance, Risk & Compliance experience
(Healthcare Experience is advantageous)
