Description:
I have an urgent requirement for an ITIL Certified Technical Engineer to provide 1st, 2nd and 3rd Line Support for a large government organisation.
This role is inside ir35,and for 12 months.
Remote/London.
Role Requirements:
* Provide assistance in maintaining and upgrading technical systems in line with technical projects and aid the support of technical networks and infrastructure.
* Provide mentoring and knowledge transfer to internal technical staff, and training to users.
* Installation, upgrading and support of technical hardware, operating systems, software and peripherals.
* Provide support of the incident, problem, configuration and change processes which affects the infrastructure.
* Conduct application support - Bug Fixing (investigation and analysis of application issues, replicate issues on test systems and investigate database and/or code to identify faults and produce/ test proposed solutions).
* Maintenance Upgrades - Maintain currency with technological advancements and user requirements update, repair, modify and expand existing applications.
Skills/Experience required:
* ITIL Foundation certification is essential.
* In-depth knowledge of IT hardware, operating systems, virtualised environments and software.
* In-depth understanding of IT languages, web technologies and software packages.
* Troubleshooting and methodical fault resolution skills.
* Relevant Infrastructure support and fault diagnosis
* BIP0008, SPF and IS1 and 2 and GSC, NCSC Guidance
* MS System Centre 2102, specifically MS Hyper-V, Data Protection Manager and Virtual Machine Manager
* HP SAN - Lefthand P4500 and StoreVirtual;
* MS Active Directory Certificate services;
* MS Active Directory Domain services;
* IIS V7
* DNS & DHCP Management
* Group Policy Management
* MS SQL Servers 2008 and 2012;
* MS Exchange 2010 inc DAG high availability solutions
* Server Installation imaging andbuild;
* Structure Cabling Installations.
* Windows Server 2008/R2/2012 R2
* Windows 10 client OS, deployment, configuration and support.
* Patch Management
* MCSA Windows server 2012 certification is advantageous
* Valid SC clearance where possible.
