IT SUPPORT ENGINEER - FIELD BASED
BARNSLEY
£22,000 to £25,000 + BENEFITS
THE COMPANY:
We're exclusively workingwith an IT Support / IT Managed Services business based in South Yorkshire who is looking for a Field Based IT Support Engineerto provide 1st and/or 2nd line support to their customers based in the Barnsley area.
As a Field Based IT Support Engineer,you'll be visiting customer sites, providing 1st/2nd Line support, troubleshooting, resolving user issues, patches, updates andproject work.
You'll be working with clients such as School's and Public sector organisations, therefore, you'll need to haveexcellent levels of customer service and be able to pass a DBS check. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious individual who wants to be part of a growing company.
THE FIELD BASED IT SUPPORT ENGINEER POSITION:
* Working on customer sites providing 1st & 2nd Line Support for end users and site infrastructure
* Management of all IT support tickets and issues at assigned customer sites
* Responsible for Office 365 Administration, user creation, password resets, SharePoint data moves, account closures and more
* Providing support to Windows OS / Mac OS User support issues
* General TCP / IP Network and Printer Support
* Basic Active Directory & Group Policy updates
* Conducting updates and patches
* Refer to, create and maintain work instructions and operational service manuals for products, services and assigned customer sites Sales Support
* Abilityto liaise with third parties to resolve issues on behalf of customers
* Escalate issues via manager for resolution where applicable
* Maintain and develop good levels of technical knowledge
* Carry out formal and informal training through use of inperson courses, online and self-directed learning and cross skilling with team members
THE PERSON:
* Must have experiencein either a 1st line or 2nd line support / IT Support position
* Good understanding of Microsoft technologies including Windows desktop and server OS, Active Directory & associated roles and M365
* Strong understanding of networking, security, VOIP and broadband & filtering technologies
* Own Car and Driving licence is essential
* Any experience of IT support within a School environment is desirable but not essential
* Any relevant formal qualifications in relation to Microsoft, Cisco, Fortinet or ITIL subjects would be desirable, but not essential
* Must be able to pass a DBS check
