THE OPPORTUNITY:
Get Recruited is exclusively recruiting on behalf of one of our clients based in the heart of Cambridgeshire with offices nationwide. As part of the company's strategic growth plan to undergo a huge Technology transformation, they are now looking to add an experienced IT Systems administrator to jointhe existing team.
As an IT Systems Administrator, you will be a key driver in the businesses journey to the cloud. Alongsidethis, the company has invested significant amounts to invest in new technology to modernise and bring efficiency's across the business. This position will bring responsibility for leading projects and being a senior point of escalation for the team.
The role requires a candidate with a desire to stay current with technological developments and recommend ways to take advantageof new technology.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Support on premise hardware and cloud servers including deployment, security configurations, patching, and troubleshooting
* Ownership of Active Directory and Windows Operating Systems
* Management of Hyper V / VMWare virtualised environment
* Maintaining and Setup of Network switches, routers, VLAN's and VPN's
* Maintaining Firewall Technology
* Ensure all projects are kept to strict timelines and progressing as per company requirements
*Organise each element of projects down to finer details to ensure clarity of roles, responsibilities and that the most up to date documentation is the only version available.
THE PERSON:
The ideal candidate for the IT Systems Administratorrole will have the following skills and experience:
* 5 plus years of proven knowledge in IT and Network concepts
* Solid experience using Azure or AWS environments
* Hyper-V and VMware virtualisation technologies
* Citrix
* SCCM
* Windows Server up to 2019
* Office 365
* Network switches, routers, VLAN's and VPN's
* Veeam backups
