Oracle Technical Lead
My client, a household name in the Insurance sector are currently seeking for an Oracle Technical Lead to join their growing IT function.
This role is about 50% 'hands on' coding and 50% coaching and management of the developers working on the Oracle API.
Accountabilities:
●Accountable for the technical development and quality assurance of one or more of esure's products.
●Designing and building digital and technical products to meet the needs of esure's customers and internalstaff
Define
●Responsible for ensuring your products have a useful, robust automated test suite to support a continuous deployment environment
Planning
●Support Product Managers and Delivery Managers in producing roadmaps and estimates.
●Ensuring that the team has the right mix of technical skills and resources to support the allocated products fromboth and development and support viewpoint.
Team & People Leadership
●Managing a group of developers and ensurethey are all aligned to the technical direction of the product and working well as a team.
●Ensure teams are able to work effectively by having a productive working environment.
JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Essential
●Management and coaching of technical staff
●Strong experience building server-side applications and detailed knowledge of therelevant programming languages for Oracle Forms, PL-SQL
●Strong experience of database programming, ideally with the relevant database technologies for Oracle Forms, PL-SQL
●Technical design skills and previous responsibility for the technical direction of products you've worked on
●Good estimation skills and able to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience
●Experience working on technical projects within a cross functional team
This is a permanent role where you will be based in their Head office in Surrey.
