Job Title: Principal Cloud Software Engineer
Location: Shannon, Ireland (Hybrid Role)
Position Overview: As a Principal Cloud Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in architecting, developing, and optimizing our cloud-based solutionsin a High-Performance Computing (HPC) environment. You will lead a team of skilled engineers, leveraging your extensive experience to drive innovation, ensure scalability, and deliver robust, high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
*Lead the design, development, and implementation of cloud-based software solutions, with a focus on Java, SpringBoot, and integration with AWS or Azure services.
* Architect and optimize systems for performance, scalability, and reliability in a High-Performance Computing (HPC) environment.
* Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, define technical solutions, and drive project delivery.
* Conduct code reviews, establish coding standards, and ensure adherence to best practices and industry standards.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
* 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on cloud-based solutions.
* 5+ years of experience in a leadership or managerial role, leading teams of software engineers.
* Strong proficiency in Java programming language and SpringBoot framework.
* Extensive experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, including designing and deploying scalable, reliable applications.
* Solid understanding of High-Performance Computing (HPC) concepts and best practices.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
