Position Overview: As a Senior IT Auditor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effectiveness, efficiency, and security of the client's information technology systems. You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive audits, identifyingareas of improvement, and recommending solutions to enhance the organisation's IT infrastructure and processes. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
1 Conduct thorough IT audits to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of the client's IT systems, controls,and security measures.
2 Evaluate IT policies, procedures, and practices to ensure compliance with industry regulations, internal standards, and best practices.
3 Identify risks, vulnerabilities, and control gaps in the IT infrastructure and propose suitable mitigation strategies.
4 Perform in-depth reviews of IT operations, including system development, network security, data integrity, access controls, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
5 Develop and execute audit plans, ensuring that audits are completed within established timelines and budgets.
6 Collaborate with stakeholders, including IT teams, business units, and external auditors, to gather information, analyse findings, and communicate audit results effectively.
7 Provide recommendations to senior management and assist in the implementation of corrective actions to address identified risks and deficiencies.
8 Stay updated on emerging IT trends, regulations, and industry best practices to enhance audit methodologies and maintain a high level of professional expertise.
9 Mentor and guide junior auditors, providing technical expertise and fostering their professional growth.
10 Prepare detailed audit reports, documenting findings, conclusions, and recommendations, and presentthem to relevant stakeholders and management.
Qualifications:
1 Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A relevant professional certification (e.g., CISA, CISSP) is highly desirable.
2 Proven experience as an IT auditor.
3 In-depth knowledge of IT audit methodologies, frameworks, and regulatory requirements (e.g., FFIEC, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001).
4 Strong understanding of financial sector systems, processes, and technologies, including core banking systems,payment systems, digital channels, and data analytics.
5 Familiarity with IT governance frameworks (e.g., COBIT) and IT riskmanagement principles.
6 Proficiency in conducting IT audits, including planning, scoping, testing, and reporting.
7 Abilityto analyse complex IT systems, identify control deficiencies, and propose effective solutions.
8 Excellent communication andinterpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
9 Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
10 Professional integrity and ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
11 Experience in banking or financial services is not required, but would be a bonus.
