Full Time - 37 hours perweek
Hybrid - 1 to 3 days per week in either Newport, South Wales, Titchfield, Hampshire, Edinburgh or Darlington offices.My client are a large prestigous government organisation and are looking for a Statistics Regulator/Analyst to come and join their team on an initial 6 month basis, paying £25.36 per hour, Inside IR35.
Requirements of role:
* Applicants for this role should have a completed undergraduate or postgraduate degree (minimum 2:2) predominantly in economics, statistics or a relateddiscipline with significant economics content.
* Technical skills and experience
* Strong knowledge and application of economic concepts and experience of working with economic statistics either as a producer or user.
* Three years experience ina research, analytical or policy development role
* Critical thinking - Proven ability to think critically and to challengethe status quo.
* Forming judgements - Proven ability to analyse evidence from a range of sources to form judgements and drawconclusions, including in the presence of only partial or conflicting evidence.
* Effective communication - Proven ability tocommunicate complex issues affecting economic statistics with brevity, accuracy, and impartiality, and adapt communication so others can understand.
* Written communication - Proven ability to write for a wide range of audiences including technical and lay audiences and produce comprehensive and clearly written briefings, ideally with experience of having been published in academic journals or equivalent.
* Work-load management - Proven ability to work under pressure, and under your own initiative, on arange of parallel projects and apply sensible judgements on when to draw on wider support.
* Working with others - Proven ability to work effectively in a team, including being an effective communicator and supporting colleagues as needed, and engage sensitively with a range of people, seeking views and experiences from a diverse range of people.
