Technical Design Authority - Infrastructure Solutions - Cambridgeshire/WFH
£60-70,000 + package
Concept IT are looking for an experienced TechnicalDesign Authority to join a well-established and growing company based in Cambridgeshire.
You will be responsible for takingcustomer requirements and architecting solutions that integrate with our existing estates and support capabilities. This can range from a fully outsourced solution to discreet services being provided via cloud offerings.
Opportunity to work with the latest cutting-edge technologies: Azure, AWS, Automation and on Enterprise sized projects.
You will be comfortable with puttingtogether design documentation - HLD/LLD. And very comfortable in customer-facing engagements.
Role will be a mix of office, client-sites and WFH. Any addresses within 1.5 hours of Cambridgeshire are considered. Must have flexibility to travel when required.
Key Responsibilities
* Design Authority for IT Infrastructure on major projects
* Analyse customer requirements and determine the most cost effective and resource efficient solutions
* Document the design (HLD/LLD) and prepare proposal material including a solution description, bill-of-materials and resource estimates required to successfully deliver the solution* Present solution proposals to potential customers and talk knowledgeably about industry best practices for data centre designand operation
* Design and document all aspects of detailed infrastructure solutions including servers, storage, Virtualisation, networking
Skills and Experience
* Proven experience of working within an architect role within projects, providingsolution design, project support and delivery of project architecture is essential
* Experience in designing and /or implementing the following technologies
* VMware vSphere
* HP products
* MS Windows Server
* Storage infrastructure - VEEAM* Private Cloud
* Public Cloud - Azure & AWS
* Excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work cross functionallyand interact confidently with multiple stakeholders (both internal and external)
* Ability to deliver high levels of customerservice
* Industry recognised certifications (highly desirable)
Salary on offer is £60-70,000 + package
