We're exclusively recruiting on behalf of a highly successful Telecommunications provider who due to expansion is looking to recruit an experienced field-based Telecoms Engineer to join their team. As a Telecoms Engineer, you'll be working in collaboration with a small but dedicated team of Telecoms Engineers for clients predominantly spread across the NorthWest and Yorkshire with occasional travel to their offices.
You'll be responsible for the configuration and deployment of newequipment onto site and be working with the Installation Manager who will project management installations as well as trainingyou up to conduct installation projects independently as you progress with the company.

THE TELECOMS ENGINEER ROLE:
* As a Telecoms Engineer, you'llbe reporting to the Telecoms Installations Manager
* Mixture of on-site and remote customer configuration and maintenance duties
* Troubleshooting and diagnostics to determine the problem and provide a solution on customer sites
* Provisioning, configuring & reconfiguring Telecom devices such as IP Phones, IP Phone Servers, and Internet Routers
* Updating the ticketingsystem on live faults following site visits
* Commissioning of on premise and hosted LG iPECS Telephony Systems
* Communicating with customers and working to resolve faults
* Replacing and installing CAT5 / CAT6 cabling
THE PERSON:
You'llneed to be an experienced Telecommunications Engineer / Telecoms Engineer with the following skills and experience:
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:
* Experience in Maintaining IP / VoIP Based Telephone Systems
* Knowledge of cabling and programming handsets, routers and WI-FI units
* Knowledge with Voice/Data Engineering
* VoIP/SIP trunking experience
* Ability to install all types of cabling (CAT5, CAT6)
* Full UK Driving Licence
DESIREABLE EXPERIENCE:
* Experience of LG iPECSwould be a significant advantage
* Able to undertake Installations of LG iPECS systems
