TECHNICAL MANAGER
CHORLEY

Get Recruited are currently supporting a rapidly expanding business based in Chorley who are seeking an Technical Manager to join their growing team.
Working alongside the Purchasing Manager and Purchasing team you will be responsible for ensuring the complianceof third party products according to UK and European Electrical Legislation. You will work with the purchasing team and work closely with manufacturers regarding product specification and test/inspection reports.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual from a Technical Manager / Electrical Quality Assurance / QA / Quality Control / Electrical Inspector / Electrical Auditor background who is looking to join a forward-thinking and rewarding business at an exciting time of expansion.
THE ROLE:* Conducting regular and random quality inspections on all product lines and ranges
* Request and check rest reports frommanufactures
* Working with the purchasing team to consult on potential areas for cost saving
* Creating instruction manualsfor products ensuring they adhere to legal requirements
* Assisting the sales team with technical product information requests from them and their clients
* Reviewing product returns to identify patterns and trends
* Working with suppliers to continuously improve returns and product quality
* Escalating any major quality issues
* Travelling to manufacturing sites where needed
* Ensure company wide compliance with health & Safety and industry regulations
THE PERSON:
* Previous experience within a Technical Manager / Quality Assurance / QA / Quality Officer / Testing / Inspecting role within the Electrical industry is essential
* Excellent IT skills
* Confident to communicate with colleagues at all levels
