Rates - £347.39 - £395.43 per day

About the role / project:

An experienced Senior Governance and Assurance PMO (Contractor) is required with demonstrable Change Portfolio Management expertise. Therefore, both Secondment or Graduate are not viable options to fill this gap.

Due to Senior Management demand, the PMO has recently transitioned from a Project supporting function to a Programme and NRT Portfolio Management Office. Thisadditional coverage has required an experienced Management Consultant to help drive the changes necessary to apply the processes and controls required to operate at this level.

What you will do:

1. Deliver the Programme and Portfolio strategy required by the Head of PMO.

2. Continually improve the quality and effectiveness of the Programme Dashboard and Portfolio Executive Summary.

3. Support Programme Managers in the creation and runnning of Programme Boards.

4. Further development of a prioritised Portfolio delivery Plan.

5. Support the Prioritisation and availability of NRT Delivery resources.

6. Ensuring delivery of the Portfolio in line with the strategic plan

7. Dependency management of the programmes and projects within the portfolio

8. Programme assurance - assessing the quality of information produced and working with the project and programme managers to improve this.

Your experience will include:

Essential

* Understanding and experience of working within a regulated and / or government funding environment
* Excellent knowledge of project and programme management principles and processes (e.g. Change Control);
* Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills - ability to direct and coordinate others toachieve a desired outcome;
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
* Strong organisational skills;
* Strong analytical skills and familiarity of working with portfolio and programme data to understand physical and finance performance ata portfolio level
* Proven ability to manage or coordinate multiple, competing, high priority activities to tight deadlines;What you'll get in return
