Description:
My client is currently recruiting for a Front End Web Developer to join theirever expanding team in the Swindon Area. This is an exciting yet technical role to support and assist the digital team with building the next generation of travel websites! The Web Development team is responsible for helping major travel brands across theworld build business critical travel websites. You will be involved of all stages of the process, from initial wire-framing right through to the design, build and testing stage.
The Role:
* Develop new user-facing features and maintain existing
* Build reusable code and libraries for future use
* Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UXdesigns
* Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
* Collaborate with team members andstakeholders
* Promote continuous improvement within the team
Experience required:
* Proficient understanding of web mark-up - HTML5, CSS3 using Bootstrap 4
* Proficient understanding of client-side scripting - JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery
* Proficient understanding of server-side scripting - PHP
* Proficient understanding of CSS pre-processing platforms - SASS
* Proficient understanding of UX and graphic design principles and tools
* Good understanding of CSS naming conventions - BEM
* Good understanding of versioncontrol - BitBucket
* Good understanding of web servers - Nginx and Apache
* Good understanding of virtual servers - VirtualBox
* Good understanding of databases - MySQL
* Good understanding of mainstream Content Management Systems
* Good understanding of task runners - Gulp
* Good understanding of APIs* Experience of mobile first development
Desirable experience required:
* Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, such as Angular, React or Vue
* Experience with Joomla
* Experience with AWSWhat's in it for you?
