Description:
My client, a specialist global travel company based in The City of London are seeking a Product and Purchasing Manager to join their expanding team. As a Product and Purchasing Manager you supports the Senior Director of Product in not only leading the department, but also in product development. This position takes an active role in the development and management of new and existing product offerings, researching and analysising the market to creating successful travel programs.
Key responsibilities:
*Negotiate contracts with suppliers in regions and foster strong partnerships with current and new partners (including but not limited to: restaurants, activities, attractions, etc…).
*Help lead and participate in the research and analysis process onmarkets, product, and vendors essential to successful
*Work with internal team and suppliers on managing inventory and other partner opportunities.
*Serve as the point of contact for internal and external partners.
*Support all relevant projects assigned in the Product department (both short term and long term).
*Handle inquiries that come into the Product Team about productsand partnerships.
*Educate sales team and other internal teams about our product line.
*Work with Tour Manager Team.
*Represent the company at consumer and trade shows as needed.
Skills Required:
*Experience in contracting in worldwide
*Abilityto develop close working relationship with suppliers to achieve optimum results
*Proven ability to negotiate effectively preferred
*Strong multi-tasking skills
*Excellent analytical skills
*Must be willing to travel as required
*Ability to prioritise work
*Ability to multi task at all times
*Outstanding attention to detail
Salary:
The successful candidate can expect a basic salary of £30k
