Josey Rebelle returns on 9th August to continue her residency at The Pickle Factory, inviting K-HAND, a truly seminal artist in US dance music history, to join her on our wooden booth all night long.
Ask any Detroit techno head and they’ll tell you: Kelli Hand is one of the most influential artists to emerge from the Motor City’s rich musical heritage. Across labels like Tresor, Warp, and her own Acacia Records, K-HAND is responsible for hundreds of high-impact club bombs, stretching from rich sample-heavy house music, to loopy acid techno.
Until recently criminally underrated, K-HAND is now rightly regarded as the first lady of Detroit - and was officially awarded as such by the city council in 2017 - and as one of the great DJs to emerge from the Midwestern nu skool. On 9th August, she joins Josey Rebelle for a sweltering midsummer night celebrating house and techno in all its styles and textures - expect soulful, slamming club music from first record to last.
