    • Come and join Kensington Singers for their Autumn Term 2019. Kensington Singers are a 50-strong mixed-voice community choir led by Hannah Brine that rehearses in Notting Hill.

Rehearsals will be every Monday at Essex Church near Notting Hill Gate Station (7.00pm-8.45pm) from the 23rd September until the concert on 16th December. There is no rehearsals on 21st and 28th October due to half term.

There are no auditions and all singers are welcome. You don't have to read music to join and practice MP3s will be provided.

Please buy a ticket for the section you sing in; voice parts range from soprano to alto, tenor and the lowest, which is bass - if you are unsure don't worry, we can help you at your first rehearsal - just select either if you don't know.

If you'd like to come for a taster session before you sign up, please e-mail to arrange.

Visit our website: for more information.

      1) There are no refunds on membership fees.

      2) Singers should be able to commit to attending 70% or more of rehearsals in order to perform in the end of term concerts and are asked to sign the register at rehearsals each week.

      3) We normally perform without music. Singers are asked to put in the appropriate amount of time outside of rehearsals to memorise words and learn your parts. There is usually a little bit of homework each week to revise a couple of songs to ensure we are making progress at each rehearsal. MP3s of parts are supplied to help with learning.

      4) Some of our performances (particularly outdoors/Christmas carols) involve singing our 'rolling rep' (choir favourites) in addition to the current terms set pieces. Singers are required to ensure they read the weekly newsletter and communicate with us regarding any additional resources or learning.
