Want to look after your health this Autumn?

Join medical herbalist Catriona Gibson for a 4-week course running on Wednesdays 6-8pm, to learn all about natural remedies that can be made from foraged wild plants and fruit that grows in Alexandra Park Food Forest and surrounding area. Every week we'll make remedies to take home and also some extra to sell at our community Apple Day celebration on Sat 18th October.

On arrival at 6pm, enjoy a cup of herbal tea and some foraged nibbles, then workshop will get started.

Week 1: Bountiful Berries

Discuss the immune boosting effects of Elderberry and Rosehips, and use them to make infused vinegars to fight coughs and colds.

Week 2: Marvellous Mints

Discuss Digestive, Nervous and Respiratory effects of plants in mint family. Make infused oils with Mint family plants and others such as Red Clover / dried Marigold / Daisy.

Week 3: Fermented Foods

Discuss how Immune system and Digestion interact. Make some fermented fruits & vegetables and Four Thieves’ Vinegar to support digestion and all round health.

Week 4: Skin Soothing
