Matt West leads a fun free poetry writing workshop for the young writers amongst us exploring themes of home, hope and journeys. Led by Tongues & Grooves in the Community and Journeys Festival International Portsmouth, Community Conversations is a project which explores how poetry can share conversations across communities.
The workshop will take place from 10.00am-12.00pm with a public reading by Matt West at 12.00pm which workshop participants would be welcome to stay for. There will be an opportunity for poems written during the workshop to be exhibited during Journeys Festival International Portsmouth, 18– 27 October.
Matt was Southampton's first Children's Poet Laureate and has been known to write about animals.
