Draw and write your life.
For inspiration we will look at graphic novels, including graphic memoir, reportage, diaries, "graphic medicine" and "autofictionalbiography". Working in sketchbook/diaries you'll be guided through weekly drawing tasks. You'll experiment with mixed media and different ways of mark making, alongside creative writing exercises based on your life and from your imagination, towards developing a voice and visual language of your own with which to create stories from your life. The result will be a unique sketchbook/diary.
Basic materials including a sketchbook will be provided, but students are encouraged to bring additional art materials if they wish
