Yes Land - The Improv Jam
Yes Land is a fortnightly improv jam hosted by Ed Fargher and Julia Eckhoff. Every other Wednesday, you can get your share of time on the Hoopla Impro stage. Just pop your name on the list before the show and you can take part!
The jam is split into two sections. The first is a fun selection of short-form games, the second is a chance to perform some 2-person scenes. Everyone gets to take part in both. Sometimes, there’s a musician; usually, there’s a light and sound improviser to support the scenes; and there’s always buckets of big dumb fun to be had.
Whether this is your first time improvising or you have been roaming the stages for years – it doesn’t matter, this is free and open for everyone.
(P.S: For first-time-improvisers: Just drop by and get on stage, you’ll pick it up. It’s improv – We’re all making a big deal out of it, but it’s quite simple really…)
