During the class, we’ll be looking at the different craft elements of such classics as THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, BODY HEAT, DIE HARD, ALIEN, THELMA AND LOUISE, JUNO, THE HANDMAID’S TALE and much more. We’ll discover WHAT these produced masterpieces can bring to the table in terms of our understanding of the fundamentals of screenwriting.

- How to inject new life into character role functions that feel samey or generic
- How to clarify genre conventions that may feel confused or stale in your story
- How to rewrite scene descriptions that feel overwritten or overly prescriptive
